  • I loved my trip along the North Coast in Peter, enjoying the slower pace cruising along, getting serenaded by the purr of the engine.  A night on Benone was a real highlight.  Parking up on the beach, setting up the fire pit, cooking on the stove and listening to the crackles of the fire, with the crashing of the waves in the background, looking up at a clear sky of twinkling stars.  Perfect escapism within a couple of hours of the pick-up location.

Benone is a gem of spot, with a beach that goes for days to the iconic Mussenden Temple in the distance, Hotbox Sauna, the Sea Shed for coffee and delicious cakes, Longline surf school and Foiling Northern Ireland offering lessons on the beach for anyone searching for a dose of action.  Recommend it for a night or two to soak it all in, before adventuring along to take in the magic of the rest of the coastline.Another highlight was taking in the epic views from Magheracross viewpoint and getting caught out in the most insane surprise hailstorm; sprinting back to sit it out in Peter, lighting the bioethanol fire, making up some hot chocolate for the ultimate hygge, listening to the hail pelting down outside, then getting out to the most beautiful skies in the calm after the storm.

I’d recommend three nights minimum to get the most of the unwind potential, and if you’re anything like me, you’ll be planning how to just stay on the road and never bring Peter / Wendy back!

  • Not to mention then getting all snug in Peter ready to wake up to the sound of waves. Peter offered you not only a trip away, but an experience of a life time, being able to go from place to place and park up for the night, taking in the beautiful country we live in and spots that we wouldn’t normally see. It was good to step out of our comfort zone, pack light, live life back to the basics and take in the world around us. Thank you guys for sharing a slice of your heaven with us!”

  • Staying in Peter and living ‘the van life’ forces you to take things slow and it’s the nicest way to take in our wee country’s sights and sounds and actually appreciate it all! We stayed in Benone for 2 nights in a row cos we’d never been in 28 years of living here and couldn’t get over how gorgeous it is. Waking up on the beach and being able to see the sunrise from the van was sensational. Because he’s such a stunner, Peter becomes a real conversational piece and we got chatting to so many friendly local people that we wouldn’t have otherwise! The inside of the van itself is really well kitted out, we found it super comfortable to eat in/hang out in/sleep in (so did our dog Murphy who stole most of the bed as usual!). Honestly, I highly, highly recommend, it’s such an experience unlike anything else I’ve ever done and it was just the best craic!”

  • I collected a different friend every day so they could all sample the experience, We did sunrise dips in the sea, morning coffee and afternoon naps even took my Nan out for fish and chips to ballycastle, she was in her element sitting up front waving to passerby’s.

If your considering booking some time with this handsome chap, our roads are worthy of adventuring and Peter is the perfect travel companion.

  • Not to be off putting , but if you are wanting to get places fast , and want speed this isn’t for you

Peter is designed beautifully to just tootle around the roads , allowing you to enjoy a fantastic experience  , take in the scenery  - and boy he certainly attracts attention. We got asked so  any times “ do you mind if we take a peak etc “ , and I was like no come on in take a look !!

Inside is kitted out fantastically with a stove, sink and all the cooking utensils you need. Peter also allows you to create a dining area, and a surprise was the sunken fire along the wooden top , fairy lights allowing you to get all cosy at night whilst the drinks were flowing and the card games continued late into the night.

A quote my old nan use to say about things = “You will never know until you go “…………….. So what are you waiting for , experience the joy pf Peter Pan Campervan.”

  • Katie and yer wan couldn't have been more efficient, kind and helpful. A very straightforward booking and payment system. Everyone needs to try this retro experience and I know it won't be my last trip in Peter or Wendy. If you want to go with a gang bring a tent along and you're laughing. Views and settings to rival any top hotel. I'd definitely recommend.”

  • No cars available but. After a quick and lovely phonecall Katie and Simon offered to transform a Landrover defender in 3 weeks time.

Well the best choice we could have made. A bulky strong and exciting vehicle with in the back all you need for sleeping and a coasy night.

All terrain Jane! You will for sure have a blast in this one!”
